Curled tightly together were two cats — frightened, silent, and clearly confused. Whoever had left them there hadn’t even bothered to cover the basket fully.

“I’ll personally make sure they’re adopted as a pair,” Haddon explained. “They’ve already lost enough. They deserve to spend the rest of their lives with each other — in a place that feels safe and permanent.”
