Recently, the West Valley Humane Society in Idaho shared Biscuit’s story once again, though it wasn’t the happy update they had hoped to post.
A year after she was adopted, her family brought her back to the shelter.
The staff who remembered her gentle spirit were heartbroken to see her return heavier than before, struggling under the weight of neglect rather than affection.

They gently reminded the public that obesity in cats isn’t cute — it’s dangerous. It can shorten their lives, strain their hearts, and steal their joy.
The shelter staff wrote a heartfelt message alongside Biscuit’s photos, explaining what she truly needed: a family willing to help her eat better, move more, and rebuild her health.
They weren’t looking for someone who loved her for her size — they were looking for someone who would love her enough to help her change.
