For more than two years, Jen and Adrian Davis have opened their doors to every fragile little life that needed shelter.
As volunteers for Best Friends Felines, the couple has cared for countless kittens, learning that sleepless nights and small paw prints across the couch come with enormous joy.
Their newest arrivals were four newborns left without a mom — a bundle of soft fur and endless appetite for love.
A Foster Home Filled With Tiny Hearts
The tiny siblings quickly learned that their new foster home was a place of safety. Every bottle feeding, every gentle touch reminded them that kindness still exists.
Jen and Adrian named the kittens after heroes from Raya and the Last Dragon — Namaari, TukTuk, Boun and Sisu — because to them, even the smallest creatures could be brave.

Each kitten grew a distinct personality. Sisu loved to climb whatever she could find, while Boun was the first to chase a toy across the floor.
TukTuk preferred to curl up and watch the chaos unfold. But Namaari — the tiniest of the bunch — was the star of every scene.
She had the softest gray coat, a voice that carried through the house, and a purr that rumbled like thunder the moment she was touched.
The Drama Queen With the Loudest Purr
“Whenever her brothers wrestled too rough, she’d let out the most dramatic little cry,” Jen often laughed to friends.
Yet behind those theatrics was a kitten overflowing with affection. Namaari would melt into anyone’s hands, trusting instantly, as though she understood she was safe now.
Life in foster care turned into a daily performance of joy, mischief, and pure kitten energy.

When a local photographer invited the litter to pose for a fundraising calendar, the Davises agreed.
It would help raise money for the rescue that had changed so many lives — including their own. Between flashes of the camera and playful tumbles, the kittens won everyone’s hearts that day.
By evening, they were fast asleep, their tiny chests rising and falling in synchronized dreams.
The “Headless” Kitten That Made Everyone Laugh
While the house finally grew quiet, Jen glanced over and burst out laughing. In the middle of the blanket pile lay a strange sight — Namaari’s body, but seemingly no head in sight.
She had twisted herself into such an odd position beside TukTuk and Boun that she looked like a tiny, headless creature from a Halloween story.
Adrian grabbed his phone and snapped a picture, knowing no one would believe it otherwise.

The photo quickly made its way online, and laughter spread wherever it was shared.
People couldn’t stop commenting on the “spooky kitten illusion,” while others simply adored how peaceful the trio looked.
For Jen and Adrian, it was another reminder that fostering was more than hard work — it was a front-row seat to the sweetest moments life could offer.

A few weeks later, little Namaari was chosen by a family who had fallen in love with her photo.
She’ll soon leave the only home she’s known to start a new adventure of her own.
Her foster parents will miss the tiny drama queen who once scared them with her “missing head,” but they’ll keep her memory close — and open their arms for the next litter that needs them.
